How Would You Know What Is The Best Business Dress?

“What is an appropriate wear for an interview?” is the foremost question that arises in the minds of many of us.

We fret over meeting with our employers for the first time and want to ensure that our first impression is incredibly meaningful and crucial. For this reason, we need a “success dress” that guarantees that we will get hired.  The dressed up appearance shows that you are serious and eager in taking that opportunity.

It is very important that one must dress formally and professionally even if the work environment is very casual. This means never wear a scruffy jeans and a T-shirt for an interview rather dress in a suit and tie. However, the industries vary in expectations for their candidates’ dress for an interview. The professionally dressed up interviewee is more likely to be successful because this shows positivity to the hiring manager.  Otherwise, more casual look will make the hiring manager believe that your attitude towards work is casual too.

The other important thing is to learn about the fashion and culture of the industry where you are going for an interview. It is very important to inquire about the dress code, environment and the culture before you set up for an interview.  It is surely not appropriate that you wear an Armani coat and tie if the dress code is casual.

Here are a few tips that you should keep in mind before you set up an interview with a company or industry.

1. If you are a man, wear a business suit, never wear a blazer with a different color pants. A two-piece suit is an appropriate dress with a matching tie. The colors should be navy blue, black or dark grey.

2. A woman also needs to wear a business suit or tailored business outfit is an appropriate dress too. The colors should be conservative and fabric should be as per the season. Don’t wear too short skirts and uncomfortable dress.

3. Wear comfortable, well-polished and shiny shoes and avoid shoes that expose your toes.  In general, men can wear lace-up dress shoes; and women can wear low and comfortable heels.

4. The interview dress should be nicely ironed, neat, properly dry cleaned and must be stain free.  Even if you are wearing a casual outfit, make sure it is made upof good quality fabric.

5. Don’t wear too much make-up or perfume or cologne. Men must wear a nice belt, and women can wear light make-up and jewelry.
